A bumper to bumper warranty means that whatever goes wrong (unless caused by an accident or other abuse of the vehicle) the warranty will cover the repair. A power train warranty only covers the engine, transmission, and drive line. Some only cover internally lubricated parts, meaning that it does not cover things like the starter and alternator. A bumper to bumper warranty covers much more than a power train warranty, and because of that, it is better for the buyer.
